Your FOFA Keyfob requires only 3
simple steps to begin using it:
1. Insert the battery.
2. Program the FOFA.
3. Attach FOFA to an item.
1. Insert the Battery
Your FOFA Keyfob comes with one
CR2032 type battery. To install the
battery:
• Open the battery compartment on
the back
• Insert the battery with the “+”
(positive) side up.
• Close the battery compartment
If you just inserted the battery, you are already in
setup mode. To enter the setup mode at any other
time, press and hold the 1 and 3 buttons
simultaneously for about 3 seconds. The FOFA
Keyfob is in setup mode when the LED flashes
continuously and a warble beep is emitted.
To set:
• Press the button (1 thru 6) to program the SET#.
The FOFA Keyfob will beep and the LED will
flash more quickly.
• Press the button (1 thru 6) to program the ITEM#.
The FOFA Keyfob will beep to confirm your settings.
The FOFA Keyfob beeps the number corresponding
to the SET # and then, after a brief pause, beeps the
number of times corresponding to the ITEM #.
To program FOFA Keyfob as Set 2, Item 5, for
example, you would:
• Press 2. This programs the SET number to 2. The
LED flashes quickly.
• Press 5. This programs the ITEM number to 5. The
FOFA Keyfob beeps and flashes 2 times, pauses,
and then beeps 5 times to confirm the setting.
Important Notes:
Removing the battery will cause your FOFA Keyfob
to lose its setting. You will need to reprogram it using
the steps above.
If you do not program the FOFA Keyfob, it will
respond to every key press from another FOFA unit.
However, the unprogrammed FOFA Keyfob will enter
setup mode when you press any button on it.
3. Attaching the FOFA
Each FOFA Keyfob includes a key ring. In addition, a
plastic lanyard and doublesided tape can also be used
to attach FOFA Keyfob to any object that you could
lose.
Using the FOFA Keyfob to Find Lost Items
To find an object with a missing FOFA Keyfob
attached, simply locate one of your other FOFA
Keyfobs and press the key corresponding to the
missing unit in that set. If the object is in range, the
FOFA Keyfob on the missing object will begin to
flash and beep. You can use any FOFA Keyfob to
locate any other FOFA Keyfob; hence the name, Find
One, Find All!
To find a missing item in another set of FOFAs, you
will need to reprogram one of your FOFA Keyfobs to
that set. Please see Programming your FOFA Keyfob.
For best results, hold the FOFA Keyfob with the LED
pointing away from you. Walk around while trying to
find the item you’re looking for while repeatedly
pressing the appropriate button on the FOFA Keyfob.
Reduce or eliminate noises so you can hear the
beeping FOFA Keyfob you are looking for.
Keep the FOFA Keyfob away from large metal
objects and other radios sources that might reduce its
range, as do weak batteries also.
Checking Your Setup
You can verify the SET and ITEM numbers of each
FOFA Keyfob at any time. Press and hold the 5 and 6
keys simultaneously, then release. The LED flashes
and beeps first to indicate the SET number, pauses,
and then flashes and beeps to indicate the ITEM
number. For example, if the FOFA Keyfob you are
checking is defined as SET 1, ITEM 2, you would
hear 1 beep, a pause, then 2 more beeps.

The FOFA Keyfob will beep and immediately go into
setup mode. The LED will begin flashing to indicate
that the FOFA Keyfob is ready to be programmed.
Please see step 2, Programming your FOFA Keyfob.
2. Programming your FOFA Keyfob
FOFA locators are expandable to 36 unique locators.
How is this possible with only 6 buttons? You have 6
sets of 6 items. This gives you the flexibility to
customize your FOFA locators so that each person in
the family has a different set of FOFA’s.
To set the FOFA Keyfob, you must first decide on the
“SET” number and the “ITEM” number of each
FOFA. Most first-time users select SET 1 and ITEMS
1-6.
