As per Directive 2012/19/CE on Electronic Equipment
Waste (WEEE), you should:
• not treat electronic waste as unsorted municipal waste,
but do separate collection of WEEE;
• contact your municipality of residence to know where
your closest separate waste collection facility is (check
specifically for WEEE authorized facilities);
• this symbol on your device clearly indicates it has to be
disposed according to 2012/19/CE requirements.
Correct waste collection allows an appropriate
regeneration of the electronic equipment that can be
later recycled, as well as an adequate treatment of it and
an environment compatible disposal of it. This avoids
a possibly negative impact on the environment and on
human health and facilitates the recycle of components
and materials.
