Installation Overview – Receiver (to opener)
On the back of your garage door/gate opener motor you have two wires that run to your wall button switch that operates the
door. You will connect the two wires from the Receiver to these two terminals on the garage door motor. You will then plug
the AC Adapter to the outlet above your garage door opener motor.
Installation Overview – Transmitter (in car)
You will locate the two wires that are connected to your high beams. You will only need to connect the Transmitter to one of
your headlights. Choose the one with the most working space behind it. You will use the supplied wire connectors to tap into
those high beam wires. You will then mount the transmitter and secure the wiring with the provided plastic ties and adhesive.
Compatibility
The transmitter will work with virtually all cars, trucks, motorcycles, or any vehicle with a 12volt electrical system. Any
vehicle with a high beam that can be activated by pulling on the turn-signal stalk is compatible with this product.
activate the high beam.
The Receiver is compatible with most garage door and gate openers manufactured from 1983. There are a few
models manufactured from 2011-on that may not work, check our website for the latest incompatible models list.
‘2 and 2’ Simple Installation -
Just Two Wires to Your Car and Two Wires to Your Garage Door!
Follow wall button wires to locate
the terminal connection area of the
garage motor unit. It typically looks
like the below two types:
Installing the RX-Receiver Inside Your Garage
1.  Disconnect/Unplug the power to garage door opener so it will not operate accidentally during installation.
2.  Locate the terminals on the garage door motor that the two wires of the wall button switch connect to.
If you have more than two wires, you will need to decipher the two wires (one positive, one negative) that
operate the garage door. This information can be found in your garage door manual.
3.  Connect the BLUE and BROWN wires from the Receiver to the garage door terminals.
Connect one wire to each of the two terminals (it does not matter which color wire goes to which terminal).
See diagrams below for common terminal types and sample wire connections.
4.  Connect the AC Adapter to the Receiver and plug into a wall outlet.
5.  The LED on the receiver should light up and stay GREEN.
6.  Mount the Receiver in a location away from any moving parts of the garage door opener.
(Typical mounting point is on the metal support straps above garage opener motor)
7.  Secure the Receiver Unit and wires with the provided plastic ties, avoiding any moving parts of the door/gate.
8.  Restore power to your garage door opener.
9.  Receiver Installation is complete!
