2.  The PDM will beep and/or vibrate, and you will see the following message.   

       

Warning: Using cold insulin can cause air bubbles in the reservoir. If your insulin is stored in the refrigerator, wait till 

the insulin reaches room temperature before you fill your reservoir. When filling the reservoir, take care to remove air 

bubbles. 

1.  Swab vial with alcohol. 

2.  Securely twist the fill needle onto the syringe.
