- Handle him with care. Don’t pull or bend his arms, or twist his head (ouch!). Take care not to drop Dave. 

- If Dave starts behaving strangely, please check that the batteries in both the remote control and Dave’s     

battery compartment are fully charged and inserted properly.

- Make sure the distance between Dave and the remote control is within the operation range 

(approximately 1.5 meters) 

- If he doesn’t respond he may have gone into sleep mode to save his batteries – try pressing his tummy to 

wake him up. 

Batteries to be replaced by an adult. Remove the battery 

cover on the reverse of the remote control using a cross-head 

screwdriver. Then install 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries according to 

the polarity shown below.

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION: 

Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be 

recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Rechargeable

batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. Supply 

terminals are not to be short circuited.

the batteries must not be disposed of with other 

household waste as they may contain elements which 

can have a harmful effect on the environment and

or recycling facilities when disposing of the item and

Using a cross-head screwdriver, remove the battery cover

according to the polarity shown below.

To activate Dave, remember to slide the switch to the ‘ON’ (I) position.
