Product Overview
The 1310 nm XFP transceiver is a high
performance, cost effective module for
serial optical data communications ap-
plications specifi ed for signal rates of
10.30Gb/s to 10.52Gb/s. It is compliant
too XFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA)
Rev. 3.0. The module is designed for sin-
gle mode fi ber and operates at a nominal
wavelength of 1310nm. The transmitter
section incorporates modulated 1310nm
distributed feedback laser (DFB). The
receiver section uses Agilent’s MOVPE
grown planar SEDNET PIN photodetec-
tor for low dark current and excellent re-
sponsivity. Integrated Tx and Rx eye open-
ers provide high jitter-tolerance and low
jitter-generation for full XFI compliance.
The internally ac coupled high speed se-
rial I/O simplifi es interfacing to external
circuitry. The electrical interface is made
using an industry standard 0.8 mm pitch
30-pin right angle connector.
