Downgrade Rights
Windows Server 2012 Datacenter, Standard and Foundation licenses include
downgrade and/or down-edition rights to Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows
Server 2008. The majority of customers, who are requesting a downgrade, al-
ready have an existing environment running a previous version of Windows
Server. They may use their existing media and keys to exercise their downgrade
rights.
