It’s “back to basics” with HP Basic Power Distribution Units (PDU)—they’re HP built, HP designed, 
and HP optimized, stressing simplicity and adherence to fundamental principles. HP Basic 
PDUs are designed for simple installation, reliability, and cost-effective power distribution. 
They provide an entry-level line of rack-mount power distribution products for cost-sensitive 
environments where power monitoring and advance power control features are not required. 
These PDUs are available in a variety of form factors and outlet configurations to meet the needs 
of today’s high-density data center rack environments. 

HP Basic PDUs provide effective power distribution, supporting from 12 to 42 outlet receptacles 
and power levels ranging from 1.9 kVA to 19.9 kVA. The low-profile single piece design on 
these PDUs provides ease of access to rear devices for maintenance consideration and multiple 
mounting options. They are designed for HP racks but will work in a large variety of third-party 
racks as well. They can be installed on either side of the rack with outlets facing the back for 
easy access and improved clearance. In addition, for higher power density they can be installed 
side by side on both sides of the rack with the outlets facing in toward the center of the rack. 

The HP Basic PDU is now available with the following exciting new features:
