WSXGA, wide format 1680x1050
Wide format, super extended graphics array is a display
specification that is capable of displaying 1680 x 1050
resolution or approximately 1.7 million pixels.
Wide viewing angle (B)
A wide viewing angle provides the clearest display with
little reflection from virtually any angle.
8-ms response time (GtG)
GtG response time is the average time that it takes for
a pixel to go from one arbitrary position to another,
which is the average time of transition between several
sets of random colour levels.  Faster is better: Lower
response time means faster transitions and, therefore,
results in fewer visible image artifacts in the display of
fast moving images. GtG response time is an important
way to measure display quality of multimedia content
like movies, videos and games; On-Off response time is
a more important measure in the display of business
content like documents, graphs and photos.
Dual input
Dual input provides connectors to accommodate input
of both analog VGA and digital DVI signals.
SmartManage enabled
A system for monitoring, managing and checking the
status of display devices as well as delivering remote
support to users who experience difficulties all
accomplished over a LAN.
Super Ergo Base
The Super Ergo base is a monitor base which delivers
ergonomic display comfort and provides intelligent cable
management. The base's people-friendly height, swivel,
tilt and rotation angle adjustments position the monitor
for maximum comfort which can ease the physical
strains of a long workday; intelligent cable management
reduces cable clutter and keeps the workspace neat
and professional.
Screen tilt and swivel
Screen tilt and swivel is a mechanism built into the base
allowing the monitor to swivel and tilt backward or
forward.
Large viewing area
Viewing area is the visible portion of a monitor screen
available for displaying data.
SmartControl
PC software for fine tuning display performance and
settings. Philips offers users two choices for display
setting adjustment. Either navigate the multilevel On
Screen Display menu through buttons on the display
itself or use the Philips SmartControl software to easily
adjust the various display settings.
High-speed USB 2.0 hub
The universal serial bus or USB is a standard protocol
for linking PCs and peripherals. Because it delivers high
speed at low cost, USB has become the most popular
method for connecting peripheral devices to a
computer. An USB 2.0 hub located on the monitor
provides a conveniently located, easy-to-use, high-speed
connection for reading, writing, loading and transferring
programs, data, digital media or music files to, from or
among your PC and one or more USB devices.
In box DVI cable
A DVI cable is shipped with the product to provide high
quality digital display.
Embedded power supply
An embedded power supply is a power adaptor built
into the body of a display device that replaces a bulky
external power adaptor.
