The LANCOM VoIP USB Handset is an ideal supplement to the LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client. As an alternative to telephone headsets, the familiar and intuitive
operation often acts to increase the acceptance of VoIP telephony.
In combination with the LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client, a host of options are available to replace the outmoded, time-consuming and frequently incorrect keying
in of telephone numbers. These include the direct dialing of contacts in Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, from any business application supporting TAPI, or even
with “Click-to-Dial” from any application under Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP.
When the receiver of the LANCOM VoIP USB Handset is lifted from its cradle, the LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client appears in the foreground and opens a line. The
focus of attention is on the on-screen PC keypad and a telephone number can be entered at the numerical keyboard. Incoming calls with this combination are
answered very simply by lifting the receiver—just as with a conventional telephone.
The LANCOM VoIP USB Handset provides high-quality audio when speaking via the receiver or in loudspeaker mode, and incoming calls are signaled both
acoustically and optically. Keys on the telephone control the speaker volume, mute function and headset activation (a headset can optionally be connected to the
LANCOM VoIP USB Handset).
Installation is as simple as it gets with Plug & Play support under Windows 2000 and Windows XP, and detection by the LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client is
automatic.
The LANCOM VoIP USB Handset is the ideal add-on to the Advanced VoIP Client
