On all models except the CL601:
The "Reset" button resets the processor; it is located under the top cover. To reach it, remove the battery
compartment cover and withdraw the four screws holding the two half housings. Open the device: the button
is located on the circuit to the right, near the input connector(s).
On the CL601 model:
The "Reset" button is located in the battery compartment. To reach it, remove just the battery compartment
cover. The button is located to the left of the batteries.
NOTE: We recommend using the Reset only when a normal press on the PRESS button has no
effect, this in the absence of a connection to DataView
®
. We advise against performing a Reset when the
logger is recording, downloading, or being configured.
If the logger stops responding to presses on the "PRESS" button, check the condition of the batteries. If the
battery voltage has fallen below 1.7 V, the device will no longer respond to a press on the "PRESS" button
and pressing the "Reset" button will also have no effect.
In this case, we recommend downloading the data and erasing the memory before starting a new recording
sequence.
NOTE: The return of the logger to normal operation indicates that pressing Reset has in fact
eliminated the fault(s). If the fault condition remains, the device will attempt in vain to return to normal
operation. However, in some conditions, the date and time and the whole memory will have to be reset.
