•   The product is suitable for use only in moderate climates, not tropical cli-
mates.

•   The product emits a loud alarm sound when activated. In many countries,
there are restrictions with regard to volume or alarm duration. Please fol-
low any local regulations.
Battery instructions
•  Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
•  Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swal-
lowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
•  Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use
suitable protective gloves.
•  Liquids leaking from batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces
coming into contact with these liquids might be considerably damaged. Therefore,
store batteries in a suitable location.
•  Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
•  Do not recharge standard, non-rechargeable batteries, danger of explosion!
•  Do not mix batteries with different charges (e.g. flat and half-discharged batteries).
•  Always replace the entire set of batteries.
•  Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the
batteries.
Inserting/replacing the batteries
•  Open the battery compartment on the front of the door/
window  alarm  by  unscrewing  the  single  attachment
screw  of  the  battery  compartment  cover.  Afterwards,
the  battery  compartment  cover  can  be  pushed  down-
wards, in the direction of the arrow.
•  Insert three batteries of type “LR44” with correct polar-
ity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
The plus pole has to point outward, towards you; see the
illustration to the right.
•  Slide the battery compartment cover back on and reat-
tach the screw that was removed in the first step.
•  The batteries require changing when the volume of the door/window alarm is very
low or no longer functioning at all. Furthermore, the LED briefly lights up every 3
seconds when the batteries are weak.
Installation
The cable between the door/window alarm and the magnetic contact allows for nu-
merous options to select the mounting location.
It is important that the distance between magnetic contact and magnet is
maximum 5 mm.
The door/window alarm can be stuck onto an even, clean surface that is free of grease
and dust. To this end, remove the protective film on the back and press the door/win-
dow alarm firmly down.
The magnetic contact as well as the magnet can be
<5 mm
mounted using two screws respectively.
Alternatively, you can stick on the magnetic contact
and magnet using the double-sided adhesive tape.
The distance between the magnetic contact and the
magnet should not be more than 5 mm in order to en-
sure a safe function. A height offset between mag-
netic contact and magnet is not permitted.
One of the arrows of the magnet has to point directly
at the arrow of the magnetic contact. See illustration
on the right.
If you connect several magnetic contacts in series (not included in the pack-
age), multiple doors and windows can be monitored.

Remove  the  small  rectangular  cover  of  the  magnetic  contact.  It  is  only
clipped on. Underneath, you will find two screw contacts which can be used
to attach the cables. Then clip the cover on again.
