Changing the Playback Settings
Reducing noise in the playback sound and making the human voice 
clearer – the noise cut function
 STOP

When the noise cut function is effective in the playback mode, ambient noise 
other than the human voice is reduced. A file is played back with clear sound 
quality because the noise of all frequency bands including a human voice is 
reduced.
To set the noise cut level
 In the stop or playback mode, press and hold
MENU/NOISE CUT for approximately 2 seconds or
longer.
The “Noise Cut” setting window will be displayed.
 Press or to select “Maximum” or “Medium,” and then press /
ENT.
 Press STOP to exit the menu mode.
To cancel the noise cut function
Set “Noise Cut” to “OFF” in step .
To set the noise cut function in the menu
Select and set “Noise Cut” from the   tab of the menu.
Note
When playing back a music file in good sound quality, make sure to set “Noise Cut” to 
“OFF.”
