The “Video Data” tab contains tools for managing video data.   

 

 

 Only qualified technicians should purge video footage. 

 

 

 

To purge video footage, specify the days to purge in the “From” and “To” date 

boxes, and click the “Purge” button.   
 

To purge ALL video footage, tick the “Purge all video footage” checkbox, and click 
the “Purge” button. 

 

 Warning:

 This will permanently delete all footage for the selected days. 

 

 Note:

 Vigil Server is designed to manage the purging of video footage; it will delete the oldest 

hour of video footage automatically before the data drives become full.  Under normal operating 
conditions, there is no need to manually purge video footage.
