should be noted that this setting

moves the response curve to the

left; therefore increasing the 8bit

value output from the camera for

any given 10bit value from the

sensor, and also increasing the

apparent brightness of the

image.

The bottom graph illustrates the

effects of setting the brightness

lower than the default value of

725. It should be noted that this

setting moves the response

curve to the right; therefore

decreasing the 8bit value output

from the camera for any given

10bit value from the sensor and

also decreasing the apparent

brightness of the image.
