  Select your Internet service WAN type 
 
  This device supports several types of Internet / WAN connections: 

o

  DHCP  Connection  (Dynamic  IP  address) – Choose this connection type if your ISP provides you the IP address. Most 

cable modems use this type of connection.  

o

  PPPoE  (Poinit-to-Point  Protocol  over  Ethernet)  –  Choose  this  option  if  your  internet  connection  requires  a  user  name 

and password. Most DSL modems use this type of connection.   

o

  PPTP  (Point-to-Point  Tunneling  Protocol) – Choose this type of connection if your ISP requires you to use PPTP. Your 

ISP should provide you with a user name and password.  

o

  Static IP address – Choose this option if you have a dedicated IP address.
