The 

copy startup-config tftp command is used to backup the configuration file 

to TFTP server. 

copy startup-config tftp 

filename name 

ip-addr —— IP address of the TFTP server. 

name —— Specify the name for the configuration file which would  be backup. 

Privileged EXEC  Mode 

Backup the  configuration files to  TFTP server  with the IP 192.168.0.148 and 
name this file config: 

T1500-28PCT# 

ip-address  192.168.0.148  filename 

config

The 

copy tftp startup-config command is used to download the configuration 

file to the switch  from TFTP server. 

filename name 

ip-addr —— IP address of the TFTP server. 

name —— Specify the name for the configuration file which would be downloaded. 

Privileged EXEC  Mode 

Download the configuration file named as config to the switch from TFTP server 
with  the IP  192.168.0.148:
