17.7.3  Bandwidth Management Priorities 
The following table describes the priorities that you can apply to traffic that the 
NBG-460N forwards out through an interface.

PRIORITY LEVELS: TRAFFIC WITH A HIGHER PRIORITY GETS THROUGH FASTER 
WHILE TRAFFIC WITH A LOWER PRIORITY IS DROPPED IF THE NETWORK IS 
CONGESTED.
High
Typically used for voice traffic or video that is especially sensitive to 
jitter (jitter is the variations in delay).
Mid 
Typically used for “excellent effort” or better than best effort and 
would include important business traffic that can tolerate some 
delay.
Low
This is typically used for non-critical “background” traffic such as 
bulk transfers that are allowed but that should not affect other 
applications and users.
