Applying Effects when Recording
1. To send an input channel signal to an effects processor, set the [FLIP] 
switch to the up position, the fader to the 7–8 mark, and turn up an AUX 
control.
The input channel signal is sent to the effects processor.
2. Use the GROUP ASSIGN switches to assign the input channel signal to a 
group.
The input channel signal is sent to the specified group.
3. Set the effects processor as required.
4. To send the processed signal to the track, press the [9–10] or [11–12] 
GROUP ASSIGN switch corresponding to the GROUP ASSIGN switch 
pressed in Step 2, and then turn up the 9–10 or 11–12 level control.
Use the 9–10 or 11–12 level control to balance the processed signal with the unprocessed 
signal that is coming directly from the input channel. Use the input channel fader to adjust 
the level of the unprocessed signal. Press MONITOR SELECT [GROUP 1–3] or [GROUP 
2–4] to monitor both signals.
5. Hold down [GROUP] while pressing the REC SELECT switch that corre-
sponds to the track you want to record to.
With the balance set, you’re ready to record.
Applying Effects with Ping-Pong
1. To send an input channel signal to an effects processor, set the [FLIP]

2. Use the GROUP ASSIGN switches to assign the input channel signal to 
the destination group.
The input channel signal is sent to the destination group.
3. Set the effects processor as required.
With the balance set, you’re ready to perform the ping-pong operation.
