Chapter 2: Connecting your TV
Using the TV remote and REGZA-LINK
®
to control other devices
To control the basic functions of connected audio/video devices using the TV’s remote control, connect a REGZA-
LINK
LINK
®
compatible audio receiver or playback device. The REGZA-LINK
®
feature uses the CEC technology as
regulated by the HDMI standard.
To connect an audio receiver and playback devices, you will need:
•HDMI cables (- p. 15)

Note:
• If several devices are connected, the REGZA-LINK

• For proper operation, it is recommended that you use HDMI cables with the HDMI Logo (

This feature is limited to models incorporating Toshiba’s REGZA-LINK. However, Toshiba is not liable for those

When using an external AV amplifier:

Connecting a HDMI audio system
If your HDMI amplifier supports ARC, audio from the TV can be sent to the amplifier over the existing HDMI cable.

AV amplifier that supports ARC
HDMI's ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature
This feature enables the audio signal of the TV to be
sent to the AV amplifier via the HDMI cable. It will not
be necessary to connect a cable from the audio output
of the TV to the audio input of the AV amplifier to
reproduce the audio received from the tuner of the TV
through the AV amplifier.
