Selecting the 3G/Modem Status
By default, the SonicWALL UTM appliance will attempt to auto-detect whether a connected
external device is a 3G interface or an analog modem interface. You can manually specify
which type of interface you want to configure on the 3G/Modem > Settings page.

The 3G/Modem Device Type pulldown menu provides the following options:

Auto-detect - The appliance attempts to determine if the device is a 3G or analog modem.

3G/Mobile - Manually configures a 3G interface. See
