Overview

The NetXtreme II 1000 Express Quad Port Ethernet Adapter is a high-performance

PCI Express (PCIe), quad-port, copper, 1 Gigabit Ethernet network adapter

supporting both NIC/TOE and iSCSI over a single network connection.

The NetXtreme II 1000 Express Quad Port Ethernet Adapter:

• Is PCI Express 2.0 Gen 2 compatible
• Comes wired for PCI Express x4
• Offers four 10/100/1000 copper ports with RJ45 for Cat 5E/6 cabling
• Is based on Broadcom NetXtreme II 5709C Dual Port MAC/PHY controller

technology

• Is a standard PCI Express half-length card with a low-profile form factor
• Includes both half- and full-height brackets to support a wide range of System x

servers

• Supports TCP/IP Offload Engine (TOE) for hardware acceleration
