There are two types of locking features available; the standard Microsoft Lock and Lock Plus.

To select either the Microsoft Lock or Lock Plus:

Tap Start > Setting > Lock Switch.

Select either Lock Plus for fingerprint and pin security or Microsoft Lock for pin security.

Tap Save and then tap OK.

Use Lock Plus to set up a password or enroll fingerprints to un-lock the ES400.

Customer Feedback - Submit feedback 
on the Windows Mobile 6 software.

Encryption - Allow files on a storage card 
to be encrypted. Encrypted files are 
readable only on your device.

Device Information - Displays the 
ES400’s software and hardware 
information.

Error Reporting - Enable or disable the 
Microsoft’s error reporting function.

External GPS - Set the appropriate GPS 
communication ports, if required. Refer to

Memory - Check the device memory 
allocation status and memory card 
information and stop currently running 
programs.

Master Reset - Resets the ES400 to 
default settings. Refer to 

Regional Settings - Set the regional 
configuration to use, including the format 
for displaying numbers, currency, date, 
and time on the ES400.

Managed Programs - Displays the 
programs that were installed on the 
ES400 using Mobile Device Manager.

Remove Programs - Remove programs 
that you installed on the ES400.

Screen - Change the screen orientation, 
re-calibrate the screen, and change the 
screen text size.

System Info - Obtain system information.

Task Manager - Stop running programs.

DataWedge - Enable data capture using 
the camera.

The user can make emergency calls even when the ES400 is locked.
