The user can install applications and operating system updates on the ES400 using the following:

Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 or higher

Storage Card

MSP

AirBEAM

Image Loader (for updating the operating system).

Refer to the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Help file for information on CAB files.

To install an application using ActiveSync:

Connect the ES400 to a host computer using ActiveSync. See 

 for more information.

Locate the package file on the host computer.

In ActiveSync on the host computer, open Explorer for the ES400.

Copy the CAB file from the host computer to the \temp directory on the ES400.

On the ES400, navigate to the \temp directory.

Tap on the application CAB file to install the application on the ES400.

To install an application using a microSD card:

Copy the package CAB file to a microSD storage card using an appropriate storage card reader.

Install the storage card into the ES400. See 

 for more information.

On the ES400, open File Explorer.

Open the Storage Card directory.
