IMPORTANT
Some Bluetooth devices
have a preset passkey; if so, you can find
the passkey in the documentation for that
device. Other devices provide a screen
where you enter a passkey that you make
up. In either case, you must use the same
passkey on both your smartphone and the
other Bluetooth device. We recommend
that where possible, you make up a
passkey of 16 alphanumeric characters
(letters and numerals only) to improve the
security of your Treo. The longer the
passkey, the more difficult it is for the
passkey to be deciphered.

Bluetooth device
Press Applications
 and select
Bluetooth
.
Select Bluetooth On.
(Optional) Enter a device name that
identifies your Treo 680 when it is
discovered by other Bluetooth devices.
NOTE
Use the same device name for all
your Bluetooth connections. If you change
the device name, you need to recreate any
partnerships you already created.
Select the Visibility pick list and select
one of the following:
Visible: Enables Bluetooth devices that
are not on your Trusted Devices list to
request a connection with your
smartphone. Your smartphone remains
accessible to other devices until you
turn this option off. After you’re done
using this setting, remember to change
it back to Hidden.
TIP
For the smartphone to be visible to
Bluetooth devices, the Bluetooth setting must
be set to On and visibility must be set to
Visible or Temporary.
