It is advisable to place some security in your phone and the SIM card in the event that it is lost
or stolen. However some security features can also be applied to prevent the phone from
unauthorized use. The security which can be applied to the phone is as follows:

Keypad lock
: Prevent the phone from making a call if the device keypad is accidentally
pressed when it is placed in a handbag or a pocket.

Device lock
: Prevents unauthorized use of the phone.
●
SIM PIN enable
: Prevents unauthorized use of the SIM card in any phone.

Locking the keypad turns off keypad functionality. This is a helpful feature if, for example, the
phone is turned on and in your pocket, and you want to prevent accidental key-press.

Press and hold the Side Up Button to display the Quick List and click

Note:
You can still receive and make emergency calls when the keypad is locked.

Start > Settings > Security > Device Lock

Enter and confirm your password.

Note:
Simple PIN
Simple PIN
must be at least 4 characters and not contain a simple sequence (e.g.
1111 or 1234).
Strong alphanumeric
must be at least 7 characters and contain at
least 3 of the following: uppercase and lowercase letters, numerals, and punctuation.
