Adding or Upgrading Products

Oracle9i Installation Guide Release 2 (9.2.0.2) for HP Alpha OpenVMS

Back up the old code and database files (data, redo log, and control).

Mount the distribution media.

Run Oracle Universal Installer.

Select custom install.

After completing these preliminary steps, you are ready to load and configure your 
Oracle products.

Execute 

ora_root:[bin]runInstaller

.

Point to existing ORACLE_HOME.

Select custom install.

Select products to install.

Configure products if OUI asks questions.

Click Install button.

Exit OUI.

Start an instance.

Build or upgrade database tables menu.
