Management Information Base

The MIB is a viewable document that contains descriptions about the characteristics for

a managed device. These characteristics are the functional elements for that device

which can be monitored using SNMP software.

Note –

SL8500 libraries implement only MIB extensions defined in the SLSERIES-

TAPE-LIBRARY-MIB under the private (4) section as shown in

FIGURE C-2
