   Polling   

This function allows you to cancel tasks that you’ve scheduled such as Delayed Fax, Delayed Polling 
Receive or Polling Transmit.

Press 

, 

. Any waiting jobs appear on the display. If nothing is waiting, the screen 

displays NO JOB WAITING.

If you have more than two jobs waiting, use 

 or 

 to select the job you want to cancel. Press 

 when the screen displays your selection—OR—If you have only one job waiting, go 

to Step 3.

Press 

 to cancel—OR—Press 

 to exit without cancelling.

Press 

 to exit.

Polling Transmit is when you set up your fax machine to wait with a document so another fax 
machine can retrieve it.

Place document to be retrieved in feeder.

 to select DOC if you want your machine to scan 

the prited document at the time it is polled—OR—

 to select MEMORY.

 if you want to select additional settings. The display returns to the Setup Send menu—

 if you are finished choosing settings and go to Step 6. See “Interrupting Timer 

and Polled Transmit Jobs” on page 41.

. The screen displays POLLED WAITING.

If you pressed 1 in Step 4, the printed document remains in the ADF until your 
machine is polled. However, you can “interrupt” it to send another fax.
