1.
CD:
Insert
the
IBM
System
Storage
DS4000
FC
4Gbps
PCI-X
Host
Bus
Adapter
Support
CD
into
the
CD-ROM
drive.
Restart
the
server.
Your
server
starts
to
a
DOS
prompt.
Diskette:
Insert
the
BIOS
Update
Utility
diskette
into
the
diskette
drive
and
restart
the
server.
Your
server
starts
to
a
DOS
prompt.
2.
From
the
DOS
prompt,
type:
flasutil
3.
Press
″Enter.″
4.
If
you
have
only
one
adapter
installed,
go
to
Step
If
you
have
more
than
one
adapter
installed,
a
list
of
adapters
and
I/O
addresses
displays.
At
the
command
prompt,
type
the
appropriate
I/O
address
and
press
″Enter.″
5.
The

BIOS
(Flash).
The
/F
option
is
used
for
updating
the
BIOS
of
the
IBM
FC2
or

Adapters,
only.

Each
adapter
can
be
configured
with
more
than
one
option.

Because
there
is
only
one
BIOS
(Flash)
area
in
a
dual
port
FC
4Gbps
PCI-X
Adapter,
entering
option
FB
for
the
second
port
I/O
address
of
a
dual
port
adapter,
will
result
in
command
completion
with
no
BIOS
status
message
displayed.
6.
Type
the
letter
for
the
option
you
want
and
press
″Enter.″
7.
If
you
have
additional
adapters
installed,
or
if
you
want
to
configure
your
adapter
with
more
than
one
option,
continue
with
Step
otherwise,
go
to
Step
