on the zooming and focusing conditions. No zone indicators appear in
the viewfinder.

Some conditions that may require the use of manual focusing
during recording are:

When recording a subject through a window.

When recording a subject having a close foreground and a
background that is far away.

When recording two subjects at different distances that overlap
in the same scene.

When recording a subject with distinct horizontal stripes.
When the 
subject is not in the center of the electronic
viewfinder.
l  
When recording subjects with shiny surfaces.
l  
When recording a subject with sharp angles.
l  
When recording flat subjects

When recording in low-light situations.

When recording a scene with fast motions, like a tennis swing.

When recording a subject with small patterns that are repeated.
Macro Focus
To 
u s e  
the auto-focus system for recording subjects very close to
the camcorder:
1. Press the power zoom button labeled 
 until the lens is
completely zoomed out.
2. Position the subject or scene in the center of the viewfinder.
Note: 
For best results, increase illumination when recording in the
macro mode.
