Ethernet Port B (WAN) Configuration Window
To configure settings for the WAN (Ethernet B) port:
1.
Enter the IP address of the Cayman 2E-W’s WAN Ethernet
port in the
port in the
Local Address field.
If you want to specify the IP address for Ethernet Port B, make
sure you enter an address that is not being used by another
device on your network.

If you want your Cayman 2E-W to acquire the IP address for its
WAN port from a DHCP server on your wide area network, enter

Enter the subnet mask for the network connected to the
Cayman 2E-W’s WAN Ethernet port in the
Cayman 2E-W’s WAN Ethernet port in the
Net Mask field.
The subnet mask specifies which bits of the 32-bit binary IP
address represent network information. Most sites should use

255.255.255.0
for their subnet mask.
If you want your Cayman 2E-W to acquire the subnet mask for
its WAN port from a DHCP server on your backbone network,
enter

NAT On/Off buttons to specify whether you want
the Cayman 2E-W to use network address translation.
