Transferring configuration and firmware files with TFTP
Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) is a method of transferring data
over an IP network. TFTP is a client-ser ver application, with the
Router as the client. To use the Router as a TFTP client, a TFTP
ser ver must be available.
You can use the Router’s implementation of TFTP to do the
following:
Download configuration files to the Router to reconfigure it
Upload configuration files from the Router to store on the TFTP
ser ver
Download firmware files to update the Router’s firmware
To use TFTP, select Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) in the
Advanced Configuration screen and press Return to the Trivial File
Transfer Protocol (TFTP) screen.
