Using the PC Card port
Follow these steps to prepare to use the PC Card por t:
1.
Connect a standard PC Card modem to the por t. See
more information.
The modem will be initialized using the default string contained
in the PC Card Modem Init String item in the PC Card
Config/Firmware Transfer screen. Consult your modem’s user’s
guide and edit the default string it includes commands not
suppor ted by your modem. You may choose to substitute
equivalent commands.

Connect a standard, working analog telephone line (
not an
ISDN line) to the modem.
3.
Call the modem from another site using a computer, a modem,
and a terminal emulation program (like the one used with the
console por t). The terminal emulation program should be

Once you connect to the Netopia ISDN Router’s modem, you should
see the configuration screens. Press Ctrl-L if you connect but are
