You will need:

Identify the connectors and attach the cables

Connect one of the RJ-45 cables to any of the Ethernet por ts on the router.
(If you are connecting the router to an existing Ethernet hub, use Ethernet por t #1 on the router and set the

Connect one end of one of the RJ-45 cables to the “Telco 1" or “Line 1" por t, and the other end to your wall

Connect the mini-DIN8 connector from the Power Adapter to the Power por t, and plug the other end into an

You should now have: the power adapter plugged in; the Ethernet cable connected between the router and
your computer; and the telephone cables connected between the router and the wall outlets.

Inser t your Netopia CD and follow the instructions to install an Internet browser and the Adobe Acrobat
Reader, if you don’t already have them.
