HIGH-QUALITY, IN-CEILING SPEAKERS
The Sound Advance
®
CM860 and CM660 are extended bandwidth, wide-
dispersion loudspeakers designed for ceiling mounting in commercial/professional
installations in airports, hotels, boardrooms, cruise ships, casinos, convention
centers, restaurants, offices, houses of worship and retail stores. The CM860 and
CM660 incorporate polypropylene cone woofers and cloth dome tweeters that
ensure superior-quality sound in foreground music, public address and paging
applications. Both models feature wide dispersion (120° conical) that allows larger
areas to be adequately covered by fewer speakers.
An integrated, deep-drawn steel backcan and integrated RotoLock
®
clamps allow
the CM860 and CM660 to be installed without access behind the ceiling. The
baffles are constructed from fire-rated ABS that meets UL94V-0. The perforated
aluminum grilles are weather-resistant and can be painted to match the installation
surroundings. Connection is made via a quick-connect terminal with loop-thru. The
CM860 and CM660 are shipped with a C-shaped support plate that reinforces the
ceiling material, and tile support rails that can be installed without access behind
the ceiling. The CM860 and CM660 are transformer-coupled, with 60W, 30W, 15W
7.5W taps and 8-ohm bypass that are selectable from the speaker’s front baffle.
Architects and Engineers Specification:
