Make the network settings below depending on the network interface you use.
• Parallel/USB: Making network settings is not necessary. Go to p.57 “Install-

ing the Printer Driver and Software”.

• Ethernet: Make the settings in p.47 “Ethernet Configuration”, and then see

• IEEE 1394: Make the settings in p.52 “IEEE 1394 Configuration”, and then see

• Wireless LAN: Make the settings in p.55 “IEEE 802.11b (Wireless LAN) Con-

figuration”, and then see p.57 “Installing the Printer Driver and Software”.

❒ The optional Network Interface Board is necessary to use Ethernet with Basic

model printer.

❒ The optional 1394 Interface Unit is necessary to use IEEE 1394.
