Chapter 7    Configuring RAC Parameters

Managing Remote Access Concentrators Using Annex Manager

When you click

Show Values

 the work area in the

Set

 window can list

values for the parameters you selected in the

Main

 window. You can verify

current values, mark the parameters you want to change, and enter new
values or options here.

Several components appear for each parameter:

•

A check button ( ) precedes each parameter name. You need to
select this button in order to mark a parameter and select or
enter the values you want to change.

•

Parameter names provide access to additional information. You
can highlight any parameter name or the corresponding value
field and click

F1

 or

Help

 to display a message about the

parameter.

•

Text fields or option buttons follow each parameter name. If the
RACs or ports/channels you selected have the same value, these
fields and buttons display that value. After selecting the check
button, you can enter new values or select new options here.

•

The Dsp Diffs (Display Differences) button follows a text field
or an option button if the combination of RACs and ports or
channels you selected or the ports or channels you selected
from one RAC do not have the same parameter value. When the
button appears, text fields or option buttons remain blank.

You can leave the window displayed and use

Set

 again to select a

parameter option that differs from your original selection. In this case,
clicking

Set

again in the

Main

 window displays these new

parameters.
