Follow the steps below to install your Voice Gateway 4000:

1.

Unpack the Voice Gateway 4000.

2.

Install the Voice Gateway 4000 in the desired location. See 

 

below if you wish to install it in a rack.

3.

Connect the power supply (see 

Figure 2-2

).

4.

Plug in the keyboard (see 

Figure 2-2

).

5.

Plug in the monitor (see 

Figure 2-2

).

6.

Plug in the mouse (see 

Figure 2-2

).

7.

Connect the Ethernet card to the network.

8.

Connect the PBX to the Voice Gateway 4000.

9.

Turn on the Voice Gateway 4000 by opening the front, right panel on the unit 
(see 

).

10.

Install the Voice Services software (see your Voice Services Software 
Installation Guide).

11.

Install the Voice Gateway software (see your Voice Gateway Software 
Installation Guide).
