Importing Macros
Ergodex Manager lets you import Macros from the existing Profiles
of any User on your computer. You can use the import Macro
feature to copy Macros between Profiles. To import one or more
Macros select “File > Import Macro(s)” from the Menu. A dialog box
will let you choose the User and Profile for the Macros you would like
to copy. A list box will display all the available Macros in that Profile.
You can now choose one or more Macros to import. If you select a
single Macro, you can provide a new name for the imported Macro.
If you select more than one Macro (using CTRL + click) to import,
Ergodex Manager will automatically create the Macro names.
Ergodex Manager uses a special merge technique to create the new
Macros. If the names of any imported Macros match those already in
your Profile, Ergodex Manager compares the contents of both
Macros. Identical Macros are automatically removed from your
Profile. If the imported Macro has a duplicate Macro Name but a
different Macro keystroke sequence, Ergodex Manager will mark the
imported Macro by appending an “*” to the end of the Macro Name.

Selecting the “Keep Key Assignments” option will import the DX1
Key assignments for any imported Macros. Ergodex Manager will
overwrite the existing assignments (if any) on affected Keys. If this
option is not selected, Ergodex Manager will only import the Macros,
not the DX1 Key assignments.
You can import all of the Macros from a Profile by selecting the
“Import All” option.
Finding Macros
Using the DX1 Input System can quickly produce a large number of
Macros. Ergodex Manager provides a very powerful way of
searching for a Macro within a Program Profile. Select “Edit > Find
Macro” from the Menu to open a Macro search dialog box.
You can search for a Macro by Name or by the contents of the
Macro keystroke sequence. If you choose to enter a Key pattern,
Ergodex Manager will identify any Macros in the current Profile that
contain that pattern.
