Configuring PPP Communications
To communicate using a serial connection to the Ethernet
network, you need to configure the following Point-to-Point
protocol (PPP) communications parameters:

1 From the System Setting screen, press X to highlight the PPP
icon, and press Enter. The PPP screen appears.

2 If the Server check box is not already selected, press T to
select it.
3 Press Space to enable or disable the server. If Server is
enabled, the CK1 is a PPP server with a specific IP address.
Enable Server if you plan to use a dial-in connection through
the serial dock, which uses null modem communication. For
help configuring a dial-in connection over null modem, see
“Configuring the Windows Dial Settings for a Null Modem
