PIM Configuration Commands

The term “router” in this document refers to a router in a generic sense or a Layer 3 switch running the

PIM protocol.

auto-rp enable

Syntax

auto-rp enable

undo auto-rp enable

Public instance PIM view, VPN instance PIM view

Default Level

2: System level

Parameters

None

Description

Use the auto-rp enable command to enable auto-RP.

Use the undo auto-rp enable command to disable auto-RP.

By default, auto-RP is disabled.

Related commands: static-rp.

Examples

# Enable auto-RP in the public instance.
