You can adjust the screen brightness by adjusting the LCD 

backlight brightness. (0~10)

Just Scan :  Displays the input scenes as they are without any cutoff when 

720p 1080i(LA32R8 LA40R8)and1080p,1080i, 720p(LA40M81BD 

LA46M81BD LA52M81BD) signals are input.
