Library Specifications

The Spectra T950 library’s primary frame is available in two different slot 
configurations, depending on the number of tape drives installed. The number of 
drives for each slot configuration may vary, however, between 4 and 24 drives. 
Together, configurations of drives and slots vary as follows:

With between 1 and 12 drives, the frame holds up to 950 slots.

With between 13 and 24 drives, the frame holds up to 830 slots. 

The following table reflects the capacity and performance options available in the 
two configurations of the primary frame of the Spectra T950 library.

The capacity of a cascade depends on the type(s) of frame(s) in its configuration. 
Add the following capacities to that of the primary frame to calculate the capacity of 
the cascade.
