Setting the BlueScale Vision Camera IP Address
The BlueScale Vision camera needs to have a unique IP address when it is
connected to an Ethernet network. By default, the IP address for the
BlueScale Vision camera is set using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP). Before you can access the BlueScale Vision viewer from the
library’s user interface, you must configure a static (fixed) IP address for
the camera and then enter that IP address in the Other Settings pane of the
library’s System Setup screen.
Note:
The BlueScale Vision camera address is configured when the
camera is installed in the library. Use the following steps only if
you need to change the IP address for the camera.
1. Connect the camera Ethernet cable from the library to a network that
use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) addressing.
Note:
In order to comply with EMC requirements, use a shielded
Ethernet cable when connecting to the camera.
2. Run the Network Camera Configuration Wizard to determine the IP
address for the camera.
a. Insert the library’s documentation CD in a Windows-based
computer located on the same network as the camera. Adobe

located in the NetworkCamera folder on the CD.

Community strings are case sensitive. If the library is configured to include
community FooBar, it will answer to queries from community FooBar but not from
community foobar.
