For connection to a supply not in the U.S.A., use an attachment plug adaptor of the 
proper configuration for the power outlet, if needed.

This power unit is intended to be correctly oriented in a vertical or floor mount 
position.

CP-A2LA/CP-A2LAS is a packaged product consisting of an AC input module and a 
USB output module (Built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery). In order to supply power to 
the portable device, a USB charging cable is required (not supplied). Please check the 
portable device for specific pin connection. USB Type-A is required for the USB output 
module.

  Portable USB output module

After charging the USB output module with the AC input module, you can detach 
them and carry the USB output module anywhere to supply power to portable 
devices (music players, game players or mobile phones, etc.). The USB output 
module can be charged approx. 500 times*.

The data is approximate, based on the results of tests by Sony. The number of 
times you can recharge the batteries depends on the device and/or usage 
conditions.

  Two modes for power supply

You can switch the power supply mode depending on your device.

  Compatible with USB authentication

USB Portable Power Supply will automatically authenticate to the USB output port 
on the application devices for instant charging.

  High-capacity built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery (typ. 4000mAh)

  Simultaneous power supply to up to two devices

  Worldwide voltage AC input module (AC 100 V-240 V)

The USB output module is out of power if no indicators turn on. Charge the USB 
output module via the AC input module.
Battery condition cannot be checked when the USB output module is being charged 
by the AC input module, or supplying power to a portable device.

Be sure to unplug the AC input module from the wall outlet before connecting the USB 
output module to a portable device.
1.  Connect a USB charging cable (officially supported by the portable device) 

- To supply power in MODE 1: Press the button shortly.
- To supply power in MODE 2: Press and hold the button until the MODE 2 

indicator (orange) turns on.

The USB output indicator turns on and the power supply starts.

Normally, supply power to a portable device in MODE 1. If the USB output 
module cannot supply power to the portable device in MODE 1, switch to 
MODE 2 and try again.
Power supply stops automatically when the portable device is fully charged. If 
you want to stop the power supply, disconnect the USB charging cable, or press 
the button on the USB output module. If you press the button when both USB 
output ports are in use, both ports will stop supplying power.
For some devices, the USB output indicator will not turn off and power supply 
will continue even if fully charged. In this case, press the button to stop 
supplying power.

The USB output port of this product is a power supply only. Do not connect to the 
USB ports of computers, etc. Doing so may cause a malfunction.
USB power output of this product is max. 1.5 A (total of two USB output ports). The 
power safety feature will stop power supply if the total output exceeds 1.5 A.
If both USB output ports are used, disconnect one of the portable devices from its 
USB output port, and restart supply of power.
Before connecting a portable device to this product, attach the portable device’s 
battery pack. Connecting a portable device while its battery is removed may cause 
loss of data or damage to the portable device.
It is cautioned that some portable devices may incur sudden loss of input memory 
with or without a battery charger (for details, refer to the user manual supplied with 
the portable device). Before using this product, be sure to back up the input memory. 
Sony is not liable for loss of input memory.

Supply time varies depending on the battery condition, storage condition and 
portable device.
The USB output indicator flashes and power supply is stopped if the combined 
output of the two USB output ports exceeds 1.5 A. Check that the input current of 
the connected device(s) does not exceed 1.5 A. If two devices are connected, 
disconnect one of the portable devices from its USB output port and restart.

To optimize charging capacity, charge the USB output module in a temperature 
between 50°F - 86°F (10°C - 30°C).
While charging, TV, radio or tuner interference may occur. Use a wall-outlet away 
from these products.
Some portable devices may require that you set a charging mode. For details, refer to 
the user manual supplied with the device.

Connect it to another wall outlet.

Attach the AC input module to the USB output module firmly (until it clicks).

Stop use. Contact your Sony dealer or authorized Sony service facility.

Press the button on the USB output module to check the remaining battery 
capacity.

If both USB output ports are in use, disconnect one of the portable devices from 
one of the USB output ports and press the button of USB output module to 
restart.
If only one USB output port is used, make sure that the power specification of 
the portable device is within 1.5 A.

Use the correct USB charging cable.

Connect the USB charging cable properly.

Remove them.

Contact your Sony dealer or authorized Sony service facility for any further questions.

Do not short-circuit the USB output module. To avoid short-circuiting, keep the USB 
output module away from all metal objects (e.g. coins, hair-pins, keys, etc.).
The AC input module and USB output module may become hot when charging. This 
is normal. Use caution when handling.
Use this product properly to avoid electric shock.

The AC input module should be disconnected from the a wall outlet when the 
charging process is complete or when the product is not in use.
Do not drop, place heavy weight on, or allow strong impact to this product.
Do not heat the USB output module or dispose of it in fire.
Do not disassemble or reassemble this product.
Children should only use this product under adult supervision.
Operating Temperature: 32°F - 95°F (0°C - 35°C). To optimize charging capacity, 
charge the USB output module in temperatures between 50°F - 86°F (10°C - 30°C).
Do not expose this product to direct sunlight or water.
Keep away from high temperatures or humidity.
While in use, do not cover this product with materials such as blankets.

The contact surface of the USB output module and the AC input module must always 
be kept clean.
The USB output module is not charged. It is necessary to charge it before using this 
product for the first time.

Charge the USB output module away from a TV, radio or tuner as noise may occur.
For details on operation of the portable device, refer to its user manual. Operation 
varies depending on the device.
Do not insert any metal objects (hair-pins, keys, etc.) into the USB output port, or 
joining terminals of the AC input module or USB output module to avoid short-
circuiting.
Do not connect the AC input module to a travel voltage converter.
Do not expose this product to liquid and use it if it remains moist.
Do not charge the USB output module using an AC adapter other than the AC input 
module.
Use caution not to pinch your fingers between the AC input module and USB output 
module when attaching. 
Connect the plug into a wall outlet firmly.
Do not touch the plug with your wet hand. 
Do not break the plug.
Use this product only within the voltage of AC 100 V-240 V. 
Do not use this product over the rating of a wall outlet or wiring accessories.
Do not use or store this product in a humid or dusty place.
Place this product in a stable location.
Do not charge the USB output module over the required time.
Unplug if you feel there may be a malfunction.
Keep clean the plug, inside of the USB output port and joining terminals of the AC 
input module and USB output module.
Make sure that the AC input and USB output module are attached correctly.
Do not touch the joining terminals directly or insert your fingers into them.

Our product warranty is limited only to the USB Portable Power Supply itself, when 
used normally in accordance with the operating instructions and the system 
environment. Therefore, Customer acknowledges and agrees that:

Be sure to correctly orient the joining terminals to avoid breakage.

No provoque un cortocircuito en el módulo de salida USB. Para evitar que se 
produzca un cortocircuito, mantenga el módulo de salida USB alejado de cualquier 
objeto de metal (p. ej. monedas, horquillas, llaves, etc.).
Es posible que el módulo de entrada de ca y el módulo de salida USB se calienten 
durante el proceso de carga. Se trata de algo normal. Tenga cuidado cuando los 
manipule.
Utilice correctamente este producto para evitar una descarga eléctrica.

El módulo de entrada de ca debe estar desconectado de la toma de corriente una vez 
finalizado el proceso de carga o cuando el producto no está en uso.

Temperatura de funcionamiento: 32°F - 95°F (0°C - 35°C). Para disfrutar de una 
capacidad de carga óptima, cargue el módulo de salida USB a una temperatura 
comprendida entre 50°F y 86°F (10°C - 30°C).
No exponga este producto a la luz directa del sol o al agua.
Mantenga el producto alejado de temperaturas altas o humedad.
Durante su utilización, no cubra el producto con materiales como mantas.

Se debe mantener siempre limpia la superficie de contacto del módulo de salida USB y 
del módulo de entrada de ca.
El módulo de salida USB no está cargado. Es necesario cargarlo antes de utilizarlo la 
primera vez.

Realice la carga del módulo de salida USB en un lugar alejado de un televisor, una 
radio o un sintonizador para evitar que se produzca ruido.

No inserte ningún objeto metálico (horquillas, llaves, etc.) en el puerto de salida USB,

No conecte el módulo de entrada de ca a un convertidor de tensión de viaje.
No exponga este producto a líquidos y no lo use si está húmedo.
No cargue el módulo de salida USB mediante un adaptador de ca que no sea el 
módulo de entrada de ca.
Tenga cuidado de no pillarse los dedos en el momento de conectar el módulo de 
entrada de ca y el módulo de salida USB. 
Conecte la clavija en la toma de corriente firmemente.
No toque la clavija con las manos mojadas. 
No rompa la clavija.
Utilice este producto únicamente con una tensión de ca de 100 V-240 V. 
No utilice este producto por encima del límite de corriente o con accesorios de 
conexión.
No utilice ni almacene este producto en lugares húmedos o polvorientos.
Coloque este producto en una ubicación estable.

Si no se enciende ningún indicador, significa que el módulo de salida USB está sin 
energía. Cargue el módulo de salida USB mediante el módulo de entrada de ca.
El estado de la batería no se puede comprobar cuando el módulo de entrada de ca 
está cargando el módulo de salida USB o suministrando energía a un dispositivo 
portátil.

Asegúrese de desconectar el módulo de entrada de ca de la toma de corriente de pared 
antes de conectar el módulo de salida USB a un dispositivo portátil.
1.  Conecte un cable de carga USB (oficialmente compatible con el dispositivo 

- Para suministrar energía en MODE 1: pulse el botón brevemente.
-  Para suministrar energía en MODE 2: mantenga el botón pulsado hasta que el 

indicador de MODE 2 (naranja) se encienda.

Se enciende el indicador de salida USB y se inicia el suministro de energía.

El suministro de energía a un dispositivo portátil se realiza normalmente en 
MODE 1. Si el módulo de salida USB no puede suministrar energía al 
dispositivo portátil en MODE 1, cambie a MODE 2 y vuelva a intentarlo.
El suministro de energía se detiene automáticamente cuando el dispositivo
