Overview
HP Web Jetadmin is a Web-based peripheral management software that is used for remotely installing,
configuring, and managing a wide variety of network peripherals, in addition to the HP brand. Easy to use
and available at no charge, HP Web Jetadmin is a popular tool used by many different organizations and
industries.
Cognizant of the fact that customers using Web Jetadmin will often times use devices other than the HP brand,
HP has created a certification program that results in the development of a software plug-in enabling other-
brand devices to be managed using the Web Jetadmin software.
Canon’s dedication to provide integrated solutions that support our customers’ varying network and peripheral
management utilities is the result of our participation in HP’s Certification program. Canon understands that
HP Web Jetadmin customers expect to have centralized control using a single management tool for the devices
on their network, and that it would be inefficient to use two separate software packages for that purpose.
Benefits:
• Provides seamless integration into HP Web Jetadmin
• HP Certification mark ensures end customers that HP has tested and approved this solution
• Enables centralized control of all devices, whether or not they are Canon devices, on an
organization’s network
• Provides real-time device monitoring and control for Canon imageRUNNER devices, ensuring
maximum productivity and up-time for the device
Features:
Device Status – Provides a comprehensive snapshot of
the configuration and status of the Canon devices on
the network. The elements included are as follows:
• Device image that reflects the current status of the
device (i.e., if an error notice occurs, a red door will
appear)
• Status Message that updates and explains the
printer’s condition
• Control Panel that reflects what is being displayed on
the actual Canon imageRUNNER device
• Device Properties that refer to the identification of
the printer
• Capabilities List that indicates the features and
functionality of the printer
• Estimated Supply Levels that report the printer
consumables levels
Device Configuration – Categories that include Quick Set Device Configuration, Network, and Security
categories for setting general printer options, and printer network security settings.

contact, firmware version, and serial number as well as TCP/IP address, gateway, network mask, and NetWare
information.
