The preflight operation checks if any rules are violated in the PDF file(s). The set of rules is fixed.
Some of the rules can be configured in the [Configuration]. The system administrator configures
if the preflight operation automatically fixes violations of the rule. Some violations are detected
by the preflight operation but cannot be fixed automatically. It is recommended that you fix these
violations manually before you print the job.

A preflight report and an annotated file are generated. The preflight report shows a summary of
the problems that have been found. You must fix or ignore any found problems.

NOTE

The preflight report for the files of the job is also available for the customer in the [Web

Submission].

The preflight report for the merged document is not available for the customer in the [Web

Submission].

An order can contain one or more jobs. A job can contain one or more files. You can preflight:
• Each file separately
• All files of the jobs
• The merged document

The merged document is the PDF file in the top of section [Files]. The files of the merged
document are indented.

Click the job. 
The job ticket and the files of the job are shown.

Select the preflight operation: 

Preflight one file

Click the [Preflight] icon to preflight a file. The icon appears when
you hover the mouse pointer over a file.
The selected file is preflighted.

[Preflight attached files]

Click [Preflight] - [Preflight attached files] in the toolbar.
All files of the job are preflighted. The merged document is not
preflighted.

[Preflight merged PDF]

Click [Preflight] - [Preflight merged PDF] in the toolbar to preflight
a job with multiple PDF files.
The merged document is preflighted. The files of the job are not
preflighted.

A preflight report and an annotated file are generated.
