Release Notes for Cisco ONS 15454 SDH Release 4.1.5
OL-6411-01
  Resolved Caveats for Release 4.1.5
DDTS # CSCeb80771
An Ethernet traffic hit of 500-600 ms may occur when upgrading to Release 4.1 from a prior release.
This can occur if active traffic is running on a G1000-4, G1K-4 or G1000-2 card when upgrading the
node to Release 4.1. The hit will occur only the first time that you upgrade to Release 4.1. On subsequent
downgrades followed by upgrades there will be no traffic hit and the upgrade will be errorless. There is
no workaround; however the issue will not occur when upgrading from Release 4.1 to a later release.
This issue is resolved in Releases 4.1.3 and 4.6.
Maintenance and Administration
DDTS # CSCeb07274
Meaningless trailing characters might be seen in the domain name within the CTC network view. A
workaround is to limit the number of CTC sessions to one. This issue is resolved in Releases 4.1.5 and
4.6.2.
DDTS # CSCed27600
When a node is configured to run OSPF on the TCC LAN port, and then the it loses the Ethernet
connection, workstation connectivity might also be lost. To avoid this, disable OSPF on the LAN port,
or reconnect the Ethernet. This issue will be resolved Release 4.1.5.
DDTS # CSCee24230
You might be unable to select a link that connects to a virtual node in a domain during circuit manual
routing. (A virtual node represents a real node that isn't present in the viewing domain.) Before invoking
the Circuit Creation Dialog, the link of interest must connect to the real nodes inside a domain. To
accomplish this, move the real node into the domain. This issue will be resolved Release 4.1.5.
DDTS # CSCee35403
When more than one user is logged into an ONS 15454/15327 network, nodes cannot be removed or
deleted from the domains at the network view. If a node is moved from a domain to the parent view, the
node immediately returns to its original domain. Nodes will also not be deleted. After repeated effort
this procedure can work, but results are sporadic and unpredictable. To work around this issue, disable
the global update feature that will update every user logged into a network of nodes whenever one user
makes a change. This can be done by placing an altered CTC.INI file on each user's workstation. The
result is that only the user who makes a change will see the change. This issue is resolved in Releases
4.1.5 and 4.6.2.
DDTS # CSCee55443
In Releases 4.1.4 and 2.3.5, when TCC-B is the active shelf controller card, the NE will not send SNMP
traps to the provisioned trap destinations. When TCC-A is the active shelf controller card, SNMP traps
will be sent. This only occurs in software Releases 2.3.5 and 4.1.4. To work around this issue, make
TCC-A the active shelf controller card. This issue is resolved in all releases other than Releases 4.1.4
and 2.3.5.
