Monitoring the Email Status
You may want to monitor the status of email operations on the Cisco IronPort appliance. The
status
command returns a subset of the monitored information about email operations. The statistics returned
displayed in one of two fashions: counters and gauges. Counters provide a running total of various events
in the system. For each counter, you can view the total number of events that have occurred since the
counter was reset, since the last system reboot, and over the system's lifetime. Gauges show the current
utilization of a system resource such as memory, disk space, or active connections.
